Thank you to everyone who participated in our Values initiative by nominating co-workers and exhibiting/practicing our values in their day-to-day work. We are an outstanding agency because of each of you and all of us.
July’s Value was Compassion: Understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it.
We had several nominations, all for the same person. I think we can all agree that Manny Tavis is a perfect example of someone who displays compassion.
From the nomination forms:
Every time I see Manny outside, I see him helping people in the Food Pantry. When ladies come with their kids, Manny help to put the food inside the cart for them and sometimes I have seen him pushing the cart for them so they can hold the babies. During these hard times it is a little difficult to find people with the same dedication as Manny”.
Manny works to help people experiencing food insecurity with a passion. He is always Iooking for opportunities to reach more people with more deliveries and helped to expand mobile delivery sites to reach as many people as he can”.
