Birdies for Charity is a giving platform that utilizes the excitement around the Travelers Championship to help nonprofits across the region raise awareness and funds to support their missions. Thanks to Webster Bank and the support of Enterprise, Access and every 501(c)(3) organization that raises money through Birdies for Charity will receive a 15% bonus on top of every donation collected.

Travelers Championship

The Travelers Championship is proud to be a PGA TOUR event that donates 100 percent of net proceeds to charity every year. Since 1952, the tournament has given more than $48 million to the community, and in 2022, the Travelers Championship generated more than $2.5 million for 125 charities throughout the region. Launched in 2004, Birdies for Charity provides every 501(c)(3) in Connecticut an opportunity to raise awareness for its cause. The Travelers Championship sends 100% of collected donations to participating charities.

PGA TOUR

It is a PGA TOUR initiative to build a community of tournaments, players, charities, sponsors, partners, volunteers and fans who are committed to making a social investment by helping others. The majority of the funds raised as a professional sporting league are directed back into the local community where the tournament is held. This means that there isn’t one specific beneficiary of the PGA TOUR. Instead, there are nearly 3,000 charities and countless individuals worldwide who are touched by the TOUR’s goal of giving back.
