Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Training
Let Access workshops change the way you think, move, and interact throughout your day making the world a better place
Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is an approach in the human service field that assumes that an individual is more likely than not to have a history of trauma. Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individual’s life- including service staff.
The work of the agency is necessarily intimate as we impact the very core needs of under-resourced individuals, their families, and the communities of which they are members. Working in a more trauma-informed way has a multitude of benefits, not the least of which being deeper, longer-lasting bonds within our workplace, a more successful and relational involvement with our customers, and it fosters post-traumatic growth within our customers to improve psychological capacity so that our assistance has an enduring and lasting effect.
Access is an agency that is committed through its strategic framework to become trauma informed. By doing so, our goal is to train and coordinate with businesses, programs and educators to join in on this quest to establish a better environment both at work and out.
